Great Medicine by darknatasha Great Medicine by darknatasha
Collaboration with Heather Bruton’s Caribou and my cougar. I just could not resist it anymore and had to color it. It was originally used for the portfolio wild North America.

Actually, both genders of caribou grow antlers. x:

Disregard this if you want, replying to old posts is a curse of mine.

My pleasure, though you always learn something from wikipedia. cx

Actually, I learned the antler thing from Brother Bear with the whole "mistaking a male for female caribou" problem in the beginning of the movie.

But that's just me, getting facts from animated movies. xD

Thinking 'bout where we come from
Thinking 'bout how far we've gone
Thinking 'bout how far we've come
There's a big medicine

There's a wild melody
There's a million harmonies
There's a note with everyone
There's a big medicine

Think we know what we need now
Think we got it figured out
Right inside of everyone
There's a big medicine

"Big Medicine" - Mari Boine

Do you know this song? :) Mari sings it in Sami language, too. It even goes with your drawing, I think :)

Oh my! This is stunning. I'm fond of the Puma/
Cougar/Mountain Lion, which can still be found in
Arizona and the American Southwest. I also never
really thought of a caribou as ';pretty' but this one
is very well wrought.
