Was. She was the main character on a Star Trek-ish web-comic called "Haul Trek". It ran afoul of Paramount, and had to retconned into a completely un-Star Trek-ish comic called "Freighter Tails" and the character became a "Moggian."
And the internet "urban myth" continues unabated. Oy...
After 8 bloody years one would have hoped this "tall tale" would finally die, but I guess it sounds far more entertaining than the mundane truth. Paul Gibbs (G*d rest his departed soul) and I never "ran afoul" of Paramount. We never received any "cease and desist" letters. It was purely a conscious decision on our part. We reasoned by dropping the Trek references and creating our own "in story" history, culture, what have you, we could broaden our satire base, presenting gags that might not mesh that well with the Trek mythos, even if done in parody. And if we had decided we wanted to sell Mzzkiti mouse-pads or coffee mugs we could do so without "running afoul" of Paramount.
Of course, everything "went south" when Paul died. So it's a rather moot point now.

Your work is always amazing and this is perhaps your best one yet in my opinion. Keep up the postings. You are a true inspiration for any artist who is trying to get into the anthromorphic side of art. Thank you. ^_^
