Eric and Michele Light had come out to Colorado to visit and we took a trip to the zoo. While there we saw a Tamandua that started us chatting about painting anteaters. We decided to get together and each paint an anteater before FC. She did an adorable Giant Anteater and I of course did a Tamandua. I was afraid it would not get much attention due to the fact it’s not a popular animal but to my surprise did quite well. I really enjoy doing many of the unusual animals and hope to create more in the future.

The light is so wonderful in this piece... such a nice atmosphere... I can hear the wind rustling in the leaves and birds singing somewhere. And his/her eye just catches my attention so well!
