Traditional Art / Mixed Media

One of my favorite pieces done with marker colored pencil and acrylic inks. I’ve always loved the Kirin and have enjoyed drawing them, feel I often need to do more. Been a while since I’ve worked on horses and when I get the time I will be sure to do more. I was very happy with the choice of colors on this piece especially since I was having a tough choice on what color scheme to use.

I love this piece, the detail is splendid, the body seems liek a perfect blend, and the colors are very natural to nature, which is how I feel a Kirin should be. I love the peaceful expression in the Kirin's face and the warrior like jump she has taken. She seems to have a Native American taste in her clothes and a very Chinese weapon but that's my opinion. The blend of her skin, and the way she seems part human is awesome, there are a LOT of people who try to pull it off and just can't. I hope to see more like this one.
